FAQ and Troubleshooting

At Kai’s Education, we use Lessons and Collections to organize our content in a way that’s simple and effective for educators.
  • Lesson is a single, ready-to-teach lesson plan—ideal for a 45–60 minute session. Each lesson includes its own learning objectives, story-based activity, and coding challenge.
  • Collection is a group of lessons that all use the same robot mat, share a common theme, and are designed for a similar grade level. While Collections are created to be cohesive sets, you don’t have to complete every lesson in a Collection. Each lesson is self-contained and can stand on its own.
This structure gives you the flexibility to teach one-off lessons or follow a full learning arc—depending on your classroom needs.

Lessons and collections are organised by the product they use (Kaibot, Kainundrum, KaiLab), so to start it would be great to have an idea of the kind of product you plan on using! Once you are looking for lessons / collections in the corresponding product, you can search for any specifics via either the search tabs or the search bar. The search tabs let you hunt via product type, subject or difficulty, while the search bar lets you search for title, keywords, or standards.

If you want to learn how to use your coding robot, you can find an assortment of videos and guides for the KaiBot and KaiLab robot here, including an online course with quizzes and a certificate at the end if you are logged in. You can also find user guides for Kainundrum here.

If you are looking for lesson plans for you and your students to apply the basics after completing the getting started courses, you can find a good starting collection for the KaiBot, Kainundrum and KaiLab here. These collections are can be completed by the lower grades for their respective products, meaning anyone can try them if they want a comfortable starting point!

While in any lesson or collection, click on the three dots at the top to view all details, including standards. If you are in the lesson or collection grid, standards are not shown, but they can be searched in the search bar.

You might not be logged in—try this profile link. If you’re redirected or see an empty profile, log in or register first.
If you’re logged in but still can’t view the lesson, check the bottom of the collection page—if it says “Enrol,” just click the button to unlock access.
